The subject

Over a number of years, an advertising photographer met with an industrialist, a biotechnical firm and the people who work there. The book is the result of the encounters of these two worlds. All texts are written in English and German.

The photographs

Michael Rasts’s photographs belong to advertising photography, the epitome of advertising media. His work for Bioengineering AG documents products, their production processes and the people who are responsible for them. Rast is capable of setting every one of them in the right light, for he has the perseverance to wait for the right moment.

Literary scholar Hildegard Elisabeth Keller endeavours to portray in words the encounter between the advertising photographer and the biotechnology industrialist as a meeting of two men and two brilliant minds.
